Human Case of Bird Flu

UK Gov reports that a person caught bird flu from close regular contact with a large number of infected birds in and around their home over a prolonged period of time.


There have been a large number of recent cases of avian flu in birds across the country and so this case in a human is rare. Risk to the public is low. Advice is not to touch sick or dead birds.
