Queen's Green Canopy
Queens Green Canopy: East Suffolk Cllr Tony Goldson was today “really proud” of East Suffolk’s contribution to the “Treebilee” scheme as launched by the Prince of Wales to mark the Queen’s 70 year reign. Cllr Goldson said that 200 English Oaks had been purchased and would be donated to every town & parish in the district. It is also a way of promoting sustainable communities to help tackle climate change.
Other Councillors were also upbeat about it: Cllr James Mallinder commenting that it would create a lasting memorial of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. he said "environmental vision must influence everything we do as a council".
