Suffolk Bird Flu Map

Cases of Avian bird flu continue to cause concern in Suffolk. The disease is deadly to bird life and drastic measures are employed to control it including destruction of infected flocks. There are several control zones in Suffolk at present. These can be viewed on an interactive map over on the government Defra site.

Bird flu is usually not a direct hazard to human health or to food quality although the control measures will reduce supply. Advice and information are available on the Defra site.
